PRACTICE
Prior to the season starting, teams will practice two days a week. One weeknight practice and one weekend practice. The practice will be one hour and thirty minutes long. Weeknight practices could be from 530 to 7 or 7 to 830. Weekend practices could be from 9 a.m to 830 p.m. on Saturday or from 1230 p.m. to 830 p.m. on Sundays in one hour and thirty minute increments. Coaches will decide what day and time your team will practice on. Once the season starts you will practice once per week and play one weeknight and one weekend game (except for 15U). Once again, the coach will determine what day and time you will practice once the season starts.
EWA provides an opportunity for girl to play youth softball. Our league emphasizes learning the fundamentals of the game while having fun in a recreational, but competitive setting.
Ages - We offer youth softball for girls, ages 5 – 15 years old. Our age divisions include:
6U (coach pitch/tee ball)
8U (coach pitch)
10U (kid pitch)
13U (kid pitch)
15U (kid pitch)
The AGE CUT OFF DATE is 8/31/2019. Your child’s age on 8/31/2019 is the age used for each division. (For example, if your child is 7 or 8 years old by 8/31/2018 will play in the 8U division.)
Please note that the online registration system will automatically default you into the correct age group when you enter your child’s date of birth into the system.
We serve east Williamson County, and our participants typically live in the neighborhoods zoned to Clovercroft, Trinity, Crockett and Kenrose Elementary schools. Our players range in ability from beginner to having played from the first possible moment.
We strive to create balanced teams for each season and hold player evaluations shortly before practice begins. We hope you will register your son for our league.
