Welcome to our new Baseball Commissioner - Erich Butler
Erich Butler has been named as EWA's new Baseball commissioner for 2012!!!
We are so excited to have such talent helping our league :)
Born in Tampa, Florida, Erich was a star at Jefferson High School, a school coached by one legendary man after another over the last 35 years and has produced talents like Fred McGriff, Tino Martinez, and Luis Gonzalez.
Erich went on to star at Faulkner State, a top quality JUCO that has been to post-season play 18 of the last 24 years. While at Faulkner State, Erich won league championships and state championships. He furthered his collegiate playing career at TSU before joining the Texas Louisiana organization as a free agent in 1994 and played at Corpus Christi in the Texas League for the 1995 season. He again won the league championship.
For the next two years he played in the Canadian Baseball League, only this time as a player/coach, which launched his career in coaching.
Following that season Erich became an assistant coach at Aquinas College, a JUCO in Nashville. In recent years, Erich has been a professional hitting instructor at Showtime Sports Academy and has coached several high-end summer league teams.
Erich brings his distinguished high school, college, and professional playing and coaching experience to the All-American Athletic Foundation as our Local Partner in Tennessee.
